experiences / testimonials
"When I didn't know what to do, I made decisions that made me feel insecure, with fear, anxiety and a lot of guilt, allowing physical and psychological abuse. The day I was given the opportunity to attend a public information meeting of Emotional Anonymous, I just I did it out of dependency and to follow the partner I had at that time, I never imagined that this group would be the means by which I would save my life. The work and studies that I was doing and that I was thinking of leaving, I was able to sustain and I was able to leave that toxic relationship, when I believed that no one could help me. Living in pity, moving away from the world and coming to have physical pain at times, the pain I felt in my soul was stronger, for everything that I could not speak, for what I did not The people around me had given, so I was not capable of giving. I have been learning this and I have been able to really get to know myself without wanting to give an image of something that I myself was unaware of due to ignorance and without any responsibility. none of my actions. Also through the services within the group, I have been able to learn about my skills and qualities that help me to be functional and put into practice the Emotional Anonymous recovery program in my day to day. I have also had the opportunity to change, I have been able to restructure my family life and serve the people around me in a healthier way in order to feel better and achieve peace of mind."
"I always felt very unhappy, this caused me great frustration, I was always in a bad mood and took it out on others. I couldn't control my violent emotions, I verbally assaulted and abused people, without any limits, I just wanted to hurt them without ever thinking about the consequences. I felt satisfaction and even a false tranquility because I was convinced that I had to do it, not hold back anything and even that they deserved it. Of course, after a few hours or on the same day the remorse, but I came to not have them, that scared me and that's when I knew I had to seek help, I saw in myself a cold person, without scruples, a kind of monster who didn't care about anyone, I felt a lot of rejection for myself.
When I arrived at the group, I was told that I was loved as I was and even understood, without judging me for my actions. With therapy I have been able to see that I was not aware or could control my emotions, talking about it makes me aware and learn to treat people with respect. I feel happy, since I am in EA I can treat my mother with love, I can enjoy her company and even understand her.
The group gives me the tranquility that I have never had in my life, it teaches me to know myself, to live without rancor, to understand, accept and enjoy others."
